Millenium Jump
August 4th
Once every year, more than 3,000 people gather at Zadar’s main pier and then jump into the sea at the same time. This majestic moment has been held in Zadar for the last 12 years, it has a strong humanitarian character and always attracts a ton of spectators. So what do you say – want to be a spectator or are you ready to jump in?
Vakanza: Win and Stay Tournament
From August 11th to August 12th
If you’re a fan of waterpolo and happen to find yourself in Zadar during the 11th and 12th of August, feel free to join the Vakanza: Win and Stay Tournament. All you have to do is gather a team and play your heart out, because the winners of the tournament will get not only glory and bragging rights, but also a bunch of amazing prizes.
Croatian Island Product Fair
From August 24th to August 26th
If, on the other hand, you consider yourself to be more of a foodie than an athlete, you just have to stop by the Croatian Island Product Fair. There you’ll have a chance to see, learn more about and try some of the finest local products from the islands of Rava, Iž, Silba, Olib, Dugi otok, Pašman and Ugljan. So what does that mean? Which products, you may ask? Well, there’ll be lots of fish, traditional cookies and desserts, local olive oil and herbs, as well as a variety of souvenirs.
Zadar Craft Beer Festival
From September 6th to September 8th
Beer lover, and especially craft beer lovers will be right at home at the Zadar Craft Beer Festival. This year will mark the 4th time this festival is organized and it will be bigger than ever. You’ll be able to try more than 60 types of craft beer made by 20 microbreweries, and enjoy concerts by Vojko V, Fish Factory, Sexymotherfuckers and Detour.
11th Fig Festival
From September 13th to September 14th
Figs are one of the most popular products of Zadar – they are sweet, delicious and all-around amazing. And they have their own festival that’s been going strong for the last 11 years. If you happen to be in Zadar on the 13th or 14th of September, take a stroll through the Petar Zoranić square and you’ll learn all about figs, see how they pair with local and international delicacies, and even have a chance to try and buy a couple.
EXTRA: Shimuni Open 2018
From September 28th to September 30th
Although Shimuni Open isn’t held in Zadar, this amazing adrenaline-filled event is a must see. This fusion of excitement and entertainment attracts windsurfers and kite surfers from all around the world, and they all gather in camp Šimuni where they showcase their awesome tricks.
